Class 8 Engine Oil Bypass Filter Kit
Engine oil bypass filtration for high-capacity on-highway diesel engines.
Class 8 trucks and heavy on-highway diesel applications
From $2,099.00 — Select Your Application
Factory full-flow filters can't remove the finest wear particles. 0.5 micron bypass filtration continuously polishes your oil—reducing internal wear and helping operators extend engine life 2–3×.
0.5 Micron Bypass Filtration — Find Your System
The Stakes
Full-flow filters operate around 20–40 micron—they balance oil flow, not the finest abrasive particles. Those particles stay in your oil, grinding bearings, turbos, and cam components every hour the engine runs.

0.5 Micron Bypass Filtration Changes the Outcome.
When oil stays continuously polished at this level, internal wear drops and engines last longer. Many operators also extend oil drain intervals—with proper analysis and maintenance. Fewer catastrophic failures. Real money stays on your bottom line.
Reduce Internal Wear. Extend Engine Life.
0.5 micron bypass filtration continuously removes the abrasive particles that break down your lubrication film—the same contamination factory filters leave behind.
Pure Flow Solutions Bypass · 0.5 Micron
Your OEM full-flow filter (~20–40 micron) has to balance filtration with oil flow—it is not designed to remove the finest wear particles. Pure Flow Solutions runs alongside it—slowly polishing oil and returning cleaner lubricant to the sump while the engine operates.

Engines don't usually die because the oil disappeared. They wear out from millions of microscopic wear events over thousands of hours.

What 0.5 Micron Filtration Targets
Typical Bypass Plumbing
Bypass does not feed from or return to the full-flow filter.

No. Your OEM full-flow filter stays in place. Pure Flow Solutions adds a separate 0.5 micron bypass loop—it does not feed from or return to the full-flow circuit.
Pure Flow Solutions uses MICFIL's Bypass Elements, which are rated to 0.5 micron. Factory full-flow filters typically operate in a much coarser range. That finer filtration is what continuously removes contamination that breaks down the lubrication film.
Oil is tapped from a pressurized gallery or port, restricted to a slow controlled flow, passed through the 0.5 micron bypass element, and returned to the pan, sump, or oil cap. The loop runs continuously while the engine operates.
Cleaner oil helps maintain the lubrication film and reduce abrasive wear. We have seen customers double and triple expected engine life when oil stays continuously cleaned at this level—and many operators extend oil drain intervals with proper analysis. Results vary by equipment, duty cycle, and maintenance.
Yes. Baseline and follow-up ISO 4406 sampling can document improvement on your equipment. Results vary by application.
